Quay Services provides a range of support services to women involved in prostitution. This includes provision of condoms, needle exchange and panic alarms. Also advice and referral to other services, advice and support and a key working service for women seeking to make significant changes in their lives.

 

Services are delivered on the street, at the drop-in centre and through a range of easy to access community locations.

Women involved in prostitution.
Any woman involved in sex industry/prostitution can access this service. This involves significant multi-agency working, particularly when mental health, child care or substitute prescribing are issues.

Advice on Accommodation, Health & Wellbeing. Helpline, Childcare, Family Support, Day/Drop in Centre, Counselling, Mental Health, Sexual Health, Drug Misuse, Food, Education, Employment, Life Skills, Personal Development.

 

Access to 'dodgy punters' scheme which provides women with information on potentially dangerous men.

 

Referral to housing services is provided.

Women are fastracked to other Drugs Action services for Childcare and Family support.

 

Nightime drop-in (see above).

 

Women can have rapid referral to Genito-Urinary and family planning services.

 

Support to address drug use is provided via key worker counselling service.

 

Food is available at the drop-in centre.

 

Access to a computer is provided at the drop-in and counselling services.

 

Service addresses life skills, employment and education issues.
