Brief Outline of Service
Marywell Healthcare Centre is specifically to provide for the healthcare needs of homeless adults within Aberdeen City.
The team's aim is to ensure easier accessibility to healthcare and facilitation to other services.
There is a G.P. every morning (patients need to be registered at practice for GP services); Dentist and a podiatrist; a Nurse Practitioner; a Community Nurse Specialist for the Homeless also covering unregistered families and the Community Psychiatric Nurse, centering on mental illness, providing outreach work.
Substance Misuse Service also support the practice population.
Visiting Agencies include Welfare Rights and Adult Literacy.
